Jacob Jacobson

Jacob is a COSRT Senior Accredited Sexual and Relationship Therapist and an Accredited Supervisor and Founder Member of ATSAC, with decades of clinical experience in the field of psychosexual and relationship therapy, and sexual addiction. Known for a warm, insightful, and deeply ethical approach, Jacob has worked extensively with individuals and couples facing a wide range of intimate, relational, and sexual difficulties, including issues related to sexual dysfunctions, trauma, identity, intimacy, and communication.

In addition to clinical practice, Jacob has a strong passion for the supervision and development of other therapists. As a highly experienced supervisor, Jacob offers both individual and group supervision to psychosexual and relationship therapists at varying stages of their professional journey — from trainees through to experienced practitioners. His supervision style is collaborative, reflective, and grounded in integrative models, weaving together developmental, relational, and systemic perspectives.

Jacob's supervisory work places a strong emphasis on creating a safe, supportive environment where therapists can deepen their clinical skills, develop their professional identity, and explore the emotional and ethical complexities that arise in psychosexual and relationship work. His approach balances the normative, formative, and restorative functions of supervision, while also integrating multi-layered models such as the Seven-Eyed Process Model.

A committed advocate for high professional standards, Jacob has contributed to the wider field through teaching, mentoring, facilitating CPD workshops, and involvement with professional committees. He is passionate about promoting open, shame-free conversations around sexuality and relationships, and supporting therapists to work with confidence, competence, and compassion.

Jacob continues to work in private practice, offering therapy, supervision, and professional consultancy. Jacob is a former member of COSRT Professional Standards Board and former member of COSRT Ethics Committee.
